of your chosen country. Investigate the traditional music, dance, costumes and make-up of your chosen country. Utilize the following questions, activities, websites for your investigation.
1. Does your country have a traditional dance? What does the dance/music symbolize? Why is this traditional music/dance significant to your country? This is your chance now to organise and select information to retell a story about your country's traditional music/dance.
2. What instruments/art crafts does your country use when playing/dancing their traditional songs? How would you design or create your own instrument to use in your country's traditional music? Would you use a different instrument, what would it be and why would you use this instrument?
3. What is the history behind the cultural music? Does the traditional music/dance involve costumes or make-up? What do they wear and what does their make-up and costumes symbolize?
According to the history outline these events create a power point image or draw a diagram of how the history has changed? You may also want to do a mind map or a picture story.
5. Watch the following clips and create your own dance relating to your countries traditional music/dance present this at your exhibition? How would you create/design a new dance for your chosen country? What instruments, what sort of music would you use? How would you perform it? What sort of makeup and costumes would you wear?
6. Think about how to display/present your music/dance in your country booth.
